This week of blog touring is off to a great start. Here are the blogs I’ve been featured on so far:
This is how all Mondays should begin. Reading a review of your book that starts out like this:
Who doesn’t love a good caper? I know I do, and A Beautiful Heist by Kim Foster is just about as good as it gets.
The blogger of All Grown Up, I should note, is a mom of 5 and she homeschools them all. Let’s face it, the miracle here is that she was able to read my book at all.
Yesterday I did a Q&A with Katja on Jack Straw Lane, here, and had a great time–even though she asked me all kinds of tricky questions about my flaws and moments of doubt and…ahem, coffee habits.
Kat also had some flattering things to say about my book. She’s a very funny gal, and she started out by saying:
Kim Foster’s book came out on June 6th and I bought it on June 6th. I’m patient like that. I flew through her book. A Beautiful Heist is a fun and fast read. Our heroine (or villain) Cat is relatable and I cheered for her from the first page. The suspense, thrills, and romance kept me engaged and I fell for the characters. One beef (I’m looking at you Kim.)…I have to wait for book two.
This review was one I waited for with a smidge of trepidation, I have to say, because I’ve read her reviews and she’s a discerning reader. She’s straight-up and doesn’t pull punches if she dislikes something. So when she said this…well, I got kinda excited:
Kim Foster’s debut novel is an enjoyable, convoluted and action-packed caper. It’s a nonstop ride from the first chapter until the very end. Full of schemes and betrayals, human sacrifice and treasure hunts, this new but capable author captures her audience in a tightly-plotted and intricately set up first-in-series.
If you need me, I’ll be over here…doing a happy dance.
So, in other business, giveaways that are still open, for a couple more days:
Hope you’re having a great week!
Thanks for the linkie! Reading keeps me sane 🙂 The boys know, if mom’s in a book, you better leave her alone lol.
Ooh, I’d love to learn your technique on that one–my boys seem to be under the impression that the minute mom’s in the book, that’s the PERFECT moment to climb on her/need a snack/get hurt in some way and require a Band-Aid.
[…] Wow–that was quite a hiatus. I guess I got a little distracted with all the craziness around launching a book… […]
