After a very long wait, I can finally say the words: my YA debut, Game of Secrets, is finally out!
Here’s a bit about the book:
Felicity Cole sells flowers in the streets of Victorian London to feed herself and her young brother. But she has a close-guarded secret―her brother is a Tainted, born with special abilities that society fears and a shadowy organization called the Hunstsman scours the country to eliminate.…

So it’s been three weeks since my third book was released and I’m finally getting around to writing this post. It’s been a busy few weeks, clearly.
Here are some of the things I’ve been working on:
We’re running a
giveaway on Goodreads right now–5 paperback copies of A BRILLIANT DECEPTION are available to be won!
for a little visual insight into the book, check out my
Pinterest page of images that inspired me while I was writing.…

My second book is finally out!
A MAGNIFICENT CRIME (Agency of Burglary & Theft #2) was released on June 6, and for the past several days I’ve been busy touring around various websites and blogs, as part of my virtual book launch.
Here are links to some early reviews and my guest posts:
On
Strand Magazine’s Mystery Center I wrote a guest post called The Underbelly of Paris, in which I delved into the creepier side of Paris–namely, the catacombs (which are featured in a key scene in my book).…

This time of year is incredibly exciting for me…and, I must confess, also a little nerve-wracking.
My new book comes out in two days, and while I can’t wait for people to read it, I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t have some butterflies. I hope y’all like it!
Some early reviews on Goodreads have been incredibly positive, which is lovely.…

I used to finish every book I started reading. Even if I didn’t like it, even if I was bored, I would push through. I guess it was the Type A in me.
But times have changed. As I’ve grown older I’ve realized that life is too short to read something I’m not enjoying! There are too many books out there, and my TBR list is too unwieldy, to waste time like that.…

Whew! All this jet-setting is exhausting. Here’s where I went last week…
First I went to the seaside.
Seaside Book Nook, that is. Jilleen gave me a very nice 4-star review, and you can
read it here.
I couldn’t get enough and just had to keep reading – my favorite kind of book!
After that I visited
Patricia’s Wisdom.…

This week of blog touring is off to a great start. Here are the blogs I’ve been featured on so far:
All Grown Up?
This is how all Mondays should begin. Reading a review of your book that starts out like this:
Who doesn’t love a good caper? I know I do, and A Beautiful Heist by Kim Foster is just about as good as it gets.…

I had so much fun during my first full week of blog touring! Here are the blogs I visited:
Mom In Love With Fiction did a very nice review of my book. Her summarizing words:
If you are a reader who enjoys thrills coupled with well-developed characters, pick up A Beautiful Heist. Not only will it have you on the edge of your seat at times, it will also give you a character who promises to only get more interesting in future installments.…

Today I’ve been hanging out over on
Reading Reality, a fabulous book blog by Marlene Harris.
After reading
my book last week, Marlene asked me if I’d like to write a guest post about the enduring appeal of the heist story. I immediately said why yes, yes I would…and
here is the result.
She then posted a
lovely review of my book (which, quite frankly, had me doing a happy dance this morning).…

Mom In Love With Fiction
Tia, a wonderful book blogger, did a very nice review of my book on her blog.
You can read it right here.
Her summarizing words, though, were these:
If you are a reader who enjoys thrills coupled with well-developed characters, pick up A Beautiful Heist. Not only will it have you on the edge of your seat at times, it will also give you a character who promises to only get more interesting in future installments.…
